Every day, our staff and volunteers meet with women and young men who have lost their way in this world. They are making decisions that will affect them for the rest of their lives. Jane’s Story
Jane came to Eden with the concern that she had a high-risk pregnancy. After visiting with one of our Registered Nurses, Jane was referred to a local specialty OB/GYN to help her with her journey. After delivery, Jane brought in her healthy baby girl. Jane said that without first visiting Eden, she would have never felt confident progressing with her pregnancy, and she probably wouldn’t have her sweet baby girl today.
Annie’s Story
Annie came to Eden 2 months after taking the Abortion Pill protocol. She thought she was pregnant again and told the Eden nurse that she didn’t ever want to go through that again. If she was indeed pregnant again, her intent was to carry the baby to term, but she hadn’t decided whether parenting or adoption was her future.
Her pregnancy test at Eden was positive, so the next step was an ultrasound to confirm date and viability of the baby. When Alison, our nurse manager started that ultrasound, the image on the screen was one of awe. Annie wasn’t pregnant again; she was still pregnant, and her baby was about 18 weeks. The abortion pill had not taken the life of her preborn baby.
Alison referred Annie to an OB that works with high-risk pregnancies for the remainder of her pregnancy to ensure the best prenatal care for both mom and baby.
